The Coal City Public Library District offers the Illinois License Plate renewal service.

Illinois residents will be able to renew their license plate stickers and leave with the sticker the same day*. You will need your Illinois Vehicle Registration Renewal Notice & PIN or Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Driver’s license number, and license plate number.

* If your vehicle needs to pass an emissions test, the Library will be unable to renew your license plate.

HOURS SUBJECT TO CHANGE:

Monday thru Thursday: 9 am – 8 pm
Friday: 9 am – 6 pm
Saturday: 9 am – 4 pm

Fees & Payment Methods:
Customers will only be able to pay via cash, debit or credit card.

Service fee & card processing fee for each renewal: $9.00*
* CCPLD Cardholders can show their library card to save $4.00
